masterclass:
swear dubber

Masterclasses are all the rage, encompassing classes in all sorts of professions in the creative arts field, but even with all those classes, one was missing. You know when a movie goes from the movie theatre to cable TV and they have to change all the swear words? Someone has to be in the studio changing those words. Enter master swear dubber Reggie Shih Tzu who will teach you how you can do it too.

quick analysis

Jeff, had had this basic idea for awhile—simply—who are they people that swear dub movies for television? Then another writer, Josh, said, “It seems like a Masterclass.” To pull off a really good video you need an idea and you need to marry it to the right vehicle. Is it a scene? Is it a parody? A song? Masterclass had recently come out flooding our social media feeds with ads. It gave the old idea some relevant packaging. What is fun about this one is that it required the talking head aspect, and required clips from “movies.” Chad Harris as the swear dubber was perfect, and filming scenes that look like they’re out of action movies was very fun. If you ask us the perfect moment was at the very end, turning Masterclass into Masterclbutt.
